About Me
I'm a 21 year old kiwi, currently traveling around the U.S. I'm laid back, open minded, and keen to meet great people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After finishing uni last year, and working for a few months, I decided it was time to get up, get out and do something. I've been traveling the US with my best friend since May, and it's been incredible.
Very soon, I'll be completely on my own for the first time in my life. I've come to Couchsurfing to not just meet, but learn from, grow from, and share with amazing people.
I'm unable to host anybody at the moment, I'm in the process of hopefully relocating to the UK. As soon as I've settled, I'll be opening my doors :)
Interests
I'm passionate about music. There's really nothing like live music, regardless of the genre. I've gone through rap phases, metal phases, pop, funk, folk, indie, jazz and blues phases, but these days I'm just in an everything phase. I never, ever thought I'd enjoy country, but going to Nashville showed me it can be pretty sweet.
I really, really like TV. I studied it in uni. Writing essays on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia seemed like a decent way to get a degree. I can talk about tv for hours, I can watch TV for days. I try not to, though.
Like most New Zealanders, I come from a 'rugby family'. My dad's been coaching for almost 20 years, my brothers and I have played for many years, and I've been following the All Blacks since I was an infant. I'm not necessarily a sporty person, but I'm a huge rugby fan.
I like video games. I'm not great at playing them, but all my close friends are avid gamers and I love watching and talking about them, and getting involved once in a while.
I love the outdoors. I've been so lucky to grow up in a country where hiking, kayaking, camping, and just being outside somewhere beautiful is commonplace. I went skydiving for the first time this year, and it certainly won't be the last.
I've been watching pro wrestling since I was 4. You get to a certain age where you realise if you haven't grown out wrestling yet, you never will. I think it's the coolest thing in the world. I completely understand why it has the reputation it does, but I reckon if you give me the chance, I can change your mind on it. It's dance, Kung fu, theatre, athletics, soap opera, circus, comic books, cartoons, action, drama, horror, and comedy all rolled into one. Mostly, I just think it's fun.
