About Me

There are very few things I know to be undoubtedly true in this world, but when I find one I try my very best to live by it. Here is a selection of my findings so far.

- Always bring a book
- Be kind
- It is every persons right to tell their story
- Whenever you move to a new place, find your favorite library, your best walk, your closest grocery store and a place that you find holy and you will be fine
- Bring on the wonder

Some additional details. I'm 25. I'm tall, and prettier than I ought to be considering how little care I've put into it. In three years I will be an awesome teacher, and in about twentythree years I will hopefully be a brilliant one. I do not believe in revolutions. I believe that love can come in endless forms, but everyone needs at least one to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent a year travelling back in 2010, and I know the joys and the hardships of the road, I know that there is nothing like being welcomed into an actual home. I don't know why I wasn't on here back then, but since I have heard great things from some friends in Lund who has been active in the couchsurfing-community. I haven't been travelling since I got back, but decided long ago that the moment I make plans that will take me out of Sweden again, I'm signing up. And now, the time has come. I want to be a part of this community, and experience traveling in the best way that I can imagine, meeting actual locals.

Interests

I am interested in storytelling, in all shapes and forms. To try to put words to who you are, what your life is like, and how you see the world, and to experience others doing the same thing, to me it goes to the core of what it means to be human.

Therefore I read novels, both graphic and not, and I constantly scribble, I watch a lot of movies and tend to listen to music that is low on beat and heavy on lyrics, I have studied theater, and my current obsession is live action roleplay. I also really like birds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote a (pretty great) slash-fanfic about my favorite podcasters here in Sweden and sent it to them as a Christmas-present. They loved it so much that they talked about it in their pod, showed it to their friends, one of whom is one of the head-writers of the culture section of the biggest daily newspaper in Sweden, and she recorded it as an audio-book. She is quite a big name, and she read my story. It's still like the third hit if you google my (highly unusual) name.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with memory-tricks for learning new words and phrases in other languages and I make killer playlists.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like reading books to people. It's kind of becoming my thing. Give me a candle, someplace comfortable to sit and we can read together like it's the 19th century.
