我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

To meet up with locals and travel buddies, to explore area together and become friends. Also I'd love to show off my own country.

兴趣

I run quite a bit due to my interest in orienteering. I also often choose to go for a long walk, it's liberating.

I travel, whenever I can and have visited 32 countries so far. I have made foreign friends via university, orienteering and on the way during my travels. When I travel, I send postcards to all of my best friends.

Since I am loving all the national differences and facts about countries, yet also am a high achiever I chose to study logistics to mix geography and business and keep it perspective.

I want to master a couple of foreign languages in my life, so I imagine I would also live abroad for a while to learn and make foreign friends.

I am from Latvia. Latvian traditions are pagan traditions, the most famous is celebrating midsummer night with a bonfire, beer, cheese, songs and friends. I want you to visit my country, it is nice and foreigners are always surprised about to see it for themselves.

I am close to countryside and do beekeeping with my dad, I help him a lot during summers. We grow berries too and mix them with honey to make our products.

I have been on a youth yoga camp twice. I do not practice meditation on regular basis, but it is cool.

I read all the Harry Potter books, but don't remember anything.

I also do not watch series, except for those where I can hear a language that I want to learn, so on this list you can only discover Il commissario Motalbano and Engrenages. Still my knowledge is very basic as of now.

I am quite open, when it comes to music and listen to it a bit too much. I think that indie music is quite popular in Baltic countries. I also like Eurovision, it is something that lets one get curious about other countries, their music, people, way of life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Orienteering for 10 years, I have been to many places due to it, often competed for the junior selected team. Best achievement is 16th place in World Schools Championships that were held in Portugal. For the last few years I also go to Jukolan Viesti in Finland to run for my club as in this 7 man night relay.

Went to visit my European friends in France and Germany, then travelled on my own from Tirana to Budapest, meeting people along the way and taking a night train for the first time in my life.
