Hi everyone !

I'm Rémi, a 23-year-old student at ENSEM ("Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electricité et de Mécanique" in French) , an engineering school near Nancy, in France, for the final year of a master degree.

I grew up in Valenciennes, a little city located in the north of France, where I spent my youth. Besides, I'm of french and syrian origin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Above all, I love travelling worlwide as soon as I have the opportunity. In my opinion, it not only allows to discover wonderful landscapes on the planet which may be enjoyed anywhere else, but it also gives the opportunity to share as many cultures as people have to offer and to create links with them that couldn't be by staying at home.

In that way, doing Couchsurfing is for me the best method to directly connect with people from all over the world in the most natural and human manner.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm keen on all sorts of music, but especially Rock or Electro. But I'm opened to hear new kinds of music from you ! By the way, my favorite band is Linkin Park.

Moreover, I'm passionate of the seventh art and I'm often watching films from many genres. I'm a fan of Scorsese, Tarantino, Kubrick or Lynch films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During summer 2015, I did hitchhiking during a week with a friend from Perpignan to Lyon. The main objective was to head for a birthday of another friend at the end of the travel, doing only hithhiking and camping, visiting cities and meeting new people on the road.

At the beginning, we were really nervous and dubious about the process, but we nearly won the challenge and at the end, we have grown from this experience, with heads full of great memories.
