About Me
hey, I'm Alex! I grew up in the northern Virginia area near Washington DC. I graduated from university last year and decided to work and travel this past year. I spent about 5 months in Colombia hiking mountains, enjoying the beautiful beaches, and volunteering at a farm and NGO, as well as 1 month in Ecuador surfing and cooking. Besides traveling, I love dancing, reading, painting watercolors, writing, hiking, camping, gardening, learning new languages, and throwing down the patriarchy. I am really involved in different forms of activism and currently am interning at an environmental non-profit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Absolutely love meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures and ways of thinking. I love alternative ways of traveling like work exchanges and hitchhiking. I am always discovering new ways to meet interesting, adventurous people and places.
