About Me

Hey there, I’m August and 25 years old. I am a student living in Münster, Germany.
I always try to stay open-minded, relaxed and polite and that’s basically why I don’t consider myself being too complicated to live with. If something is wrong, just tell me. It’s always helpful to communicate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to meet and listen to different people with different opinions from all over the world who speak different languages, belong to different religions and have different cultural backgrounds.
But in general it doesn’t really matter to me where you come from or what you’re doing, as long you have an interesting story to tell. ;-)

Interests

I really like making music (I sing and play the guitar), especially together with friends or other people. I like reading and writing, talking about different topics (almost anything can be interesting if you have the right people to talk with) and discussions in general.
Cooking is a lot of fun but I don’t consider myself being a good cook.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
The unbearable Lightness of Being – Milan Kundera
Ishmael – Daniel Quinn
Siddhartha – Hermann Hesse
The Stranger – Albert Camus
Into the Wild – Jon Krakauer
many more…

Music:
Radiohead
Regina Spektor
Neutral Milk Hotel
The Beatles
and many more…

I think you can find almost always something that’s interesting to you in a song. And maybe it’s just that snare drum hit at 01:34 min.

Movies:
Donnie Darko
In Bruges
The thin red Line
There are so many good movies, I don’t really know where to start… ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating jackfruit with an approximately 85 year old woman and her grandchildren in a small village in Laos.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basic guitar skills and how to eat with chopsticks. I’d really like to cook with you and I’ll try to do my best to show and tell you something interesting about Münster and German culture and history. I’d love to learn many different small things (it doesn’t really matter what) and the words “Hello” and “Goodbye” in your native language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts the many different stories I have to tell and I’ll always try to offer a helping hand.
