About Me

I am currently building my new life in Australia. Moreover, I am rediscovering how I'd like to build my life. Because of that, I'd love to stay with someone who has figured out a plentiful and fulfilling life in Australia, who has reached a balance.

About me: I'm a process. A human, as you. I enjoy simple and essential things like food, sleep, water, nature and fresh air. I'm easy going and feel comfortable sharing thoughts with people with different life experiences, cultures and backgrounds. I love Australia because of that mix of people. I like to think about the future and meaning of life, but in case there is no meaning to it all, let's at least be happy now and enjoy our time alive!!

I have a background in biomedical and aerospace engineering, and biotechnology, and during the last years I have been focusing on different aspects on human spaceflight. My last project managed by NASA involved building habitats for the moon and mars with mushrooms (mycelium). Before that I worked briefly in the Netherlands and Germany in the European Astronaut Center, where I had the opportunity to interact with astronauts from NASA (US), JAXA (Japan), CSA (Canada), Roscosmos (Russia) and ESA (Europe) on a daily basis. Also worked at a start-up vertical hydroponic farm in Denmark, an organic blueberry farm in Japan, and a permaculture farm in Thailand.

I love to travel and to live in different countries. Most importantly, I like to connect with people from different backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures. That makes me understand better what unites all of us, while appreciating what makes us unique too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through Couchsurfing I've been able to share life stories and inspiration that made me grow, learn and experience. Staying in a hotel never added any value to me. So that's why I'm on Couchsurfing!

Interests

Do new things, visit new places, meet new people, listen to new music, taste new flavours, meet old friends. I like to find balance between sustaining and exploring, from a personal to a global scale.
