I've been studying for almost three years now. Before studying I spent almost 2 years in the army.
I enjoy being outside doing stuff and love to meet new people and hear about their perspectives on life and stuff. Besides studying I work in the healthcare sector.
In my daily life i strive to leave as minimal a negative footprint on earth as possible. For instance be re- and upcycling as much as i can and by trying to live meat free and without foodwaste.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from different places and countries, and to explore foreign cultures and traditions from the locals. I think that you have to have been talking to people, (others than the cap-driver or the guy you ask for directions) from the country that you have travelled, to really be able to say that you have visited the country. If you just visit a place to lay on the beach or walk around taking pictures of turisty stuff and sights, you could in my opinion just as well have saved the money and watched the pictures on the internet; possibly even in higher resolution.
Furthermore I really like to explore different thinking and point of views by talking to people from different places.

Interests

I've recently started climbing and I also enjoy trekking and outdoor living in general. My goal for 2016 was to find time for at least one "outdoor-weekend" every month and eventhough I didn't get out every month I think I succeeded by getting out at least 9 of the months.
Other than that I started doing yoga in 2016 and also did some meditation. During my teenage years I did a lot of swimming and i've also been doing some lifting.
I think that boardgames is a great way of spending time together, whether it's only two persons for a good game of chess or backgammon or it's a more complicated game for more people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to music and try to do it in as much of my time awake, as possible. My favourite types of music would be hiphop'ish vibes and electronic music in almost all varieties, eventhough i like almost all kinds of music maybe just except what we in Denmark describe as "fløde-pop" or "cream-pop".

When it comes to books i love reading, but haven't really had the time since i started studying. I've read a lot of thrillers by Andy Mcnab and Chris Ryan, but also fantasy novels like the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman.

The five best movies i've watched recently must be: The Revenant, Wild, Into The Wild, Sicario and Steve Jobs: The Man In The Machine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been living in Greenland for 4 years from I was 9 and celebrated my 21st birthday in Afghanistan. (yeah i know; that was two ;-) )

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a funny farting noise with my hands and can teach how to light a fire. Other than that i'm sure we can figure something out for me to teach you if you'd really like :-)
I'm also always willing to share a meal and learn something new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm great at doing chores and i'm also great at having conversations while enjoying a glass of wine ! :-)
I also consider myself a pretty decent chef, so i would gladly cook a lovely meal.
