About Me

Ok, this is the first time that i have to describe myself, it is not easy haha. My name is Jorge, i’m 27 years old. I have lived all my life in Tucumán, Argentina with my family.
I consider myself as a very good person, always trying to have a smile in my face. Even though i’m not having the best day. Also very kind and friendly, a bit shy, but eager to meet new friends!
I love travelling, meeting different people from around the world, new cultures, those kind of things are very exciting experiences for me!I As well as I enjoy to talk for hours sharing a “mate”(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mate_(beverage)) or a beer. Talking about any kind of stuffs. Sharing my experiences and hearing the others ones!
I also love animals, i have a dog (Lis) and a cat (Orion), and if it was my decision i could have a lot more, i love them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time i hear about CouchSurfing was, i think, 10 years ago (2006) when my cousin decided to travel as a backpacker to europe. Before the trip he started hosting people from around the world and i thought that it was an amazing idea. This is a great tool to meet all kind of amazing people. Exchange different experiences. When he came back from his trip, he told me incredibles stories that he lived using this page.
It took almost 9 years until i decided to create an user. And the reason was that i hear about some group of people who come together every thursday on my city, people from couchsurfing. At this time i couldn’t host somebody on my house. But this was a great opportunity to met people who loves to travel and some of them from other countries. I started going every thursday and i have to say that the people that i met there are incredibles.
And now i am starting to travel by myself and i’m very eager to live this experiences, to could actually met the people from the places that i’m going. Their cultures, experiences and everything about those places.
Also one great experience that i have with couchsurfing was a few years ago (+- 5) my sister was hosting a portuguese guy. He lives in Buenos Aires (The Argentine capital). I didn’t know
that she was hosting him because i was on my uncle’s house. One day i decided to go looking for my computer when she was working, My idea was to go, get my computer and do another thing after. When i came to the apartment, i found him sleeping. He just heard the noise, he woke up, and say hello to me. I spent almost the rest of my day talking with him. It was a very enriching experience. After this moment, i decided to do it in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

- I love to listen music, almost every types of it. From a peaceful reggae song to an improvised jazz song. Passing through Rock/Pop, blues, folk.

- I love to see a good movie or get hooked with some TV serie and not being able to stop watching it.
I also have wide range of taste in movies. I loved a good drama as “La vita è bella” or “The Shawshank Redemption” as well as a good horror-thriller film like “The Silence of the Lambs”. I also enjoy a lot watch an animation movie like Shrek, Toy Story and UP for example.
My favorites TV shows are "breaking bad", "game of thrones", "Sherlock", "Friends" and "how i met your mother", actually, there are a lot more but i’m not going to write all of them :P.

- I’m not a good reader right now, but is something that i want to start doing, that's why i already bought a couple of books to start reading in my next trip that i will start 2 weeks from now :) It is never late to start doing something.
