About Me
I did a bicycle trip with my friend from uni from Hong Kong to Iran in 2013, travelled through Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Tibet and Nepal. Then I went back to Hong Kong and worked as a chef for a year.
Coming up with an excuse of discovering the real western cuisine, I quitted my job and travelled from Iran to Portugal by land in 2015, mainly by hitchhiking and when I was lazy, bus.
I went back home and found another job in restaurant. Now I am still living the culinary dream, for almost three years and still counting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had my first CS experience during the bicycle trip and I simply love the idea. This is by far the best and easiest way to know about others' cultures. The interactions with hosts or travellers from around the world were really precious and inspiring. It gives me something that I could hardly experience elsewhere, those sweet memories in different cities or even villages.
Of course sometimes that could be a bit weird with some hosts, but most of the time it was really enjoyable. Just imagine how impossible it was back into the day without CS. Now two strangers from different part of the world can meet simply because of a website. It is really amazing.
