About Me

I would call myself a Mediterranean girl from Turkey, however I 've moved from city to city, country to country so often that I am not sure if I belong to somewhere specific. For the moment I'm happy to be living in Berlin since December 2016. Life will show where I will head to the next time. Until then I would like to spend as much time as possible at the southern coasts since Berlin can be really tough when it comes to weather.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me travelling is mostly about opening one's eyes to interesting experiences and memorable moments more than just seeing new places and buying souvenirs. And if I am not traveling already in a group of friends, CS seems to be the best option to help my travel turn into a journey lived in full.

Interests

I love making spontaneous music, dancing, swimming, cycling, table-tennis, reading and practising foreign languages .
I am pretty much interested in cinema, theatre, cultural studies, politics, psychology and sociology.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many genres of music such as Alternative Pop&Rock, Jazz, Blues, Rock&Roll, Reggae but I unfortunately cannot stand Club Music / techno.

Some of the movies I love: Birdman, Lost Highway, Before Sunrise-Before Sunset-Before Midnight, Pan's Labyrinth, Brazil, Persepolis, Midnight in Paris

Some of the books I love: The Left Hand of The Darkness (Ursula K. Le Guin). 1Q84 (Haruki Murakami), One Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), The Portrait of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played a main character in an Armenian cinema movie as the only person from Turkey in the project.
