Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason I decided to make a couchsurfing account, and start couchsurfing is due to a very specific event. My girlfriend and I were interrailing through Europe and on the way, we wanted to have a meal in Basel. We were standing outside the station, where a couple approached us and asked if we needed help. We ended up swimming in the river together, sleeping there and had a wonderfull time couchsurfing with them. We want to be able to offer the same to others and add experiences of this sort to my life.

Interests

My biggest passion must be sports, and volleyball in specific. I also really enjoy discovering new things in the widest sense of the word. I enjoy discovering a new country, discovering a new path to hike near my house, finding new and intresting people to talk to, or simply discovering this new song. Furthermore I really enjoy cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music depends a lot on the situation. When with a couple of friends, it can either be the 80`s, coffeeshop or pop. On my own it's usually either indie or jaz (and of course the buena vista social club!)

I like seeing movies which are just a bit different from normal, and most importantly, unpredictable!

I really only read when I`m traveling and have a lot of time in trains etc. In that case, the last book I read was the first part of Game of Thrones, which was very enjoyable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a love for cooking, and thereby the meals it provides. The thing I`ll share in any scenario is a lot of enthusiasm for whatever I`m doing.
