Hi, I am Sigurd (21 years old) from the northern part of Jutland (Denmark) where I have lived my whole life. I grew up in the countryside near the cities Støvring, Suldrup and Nibe with my mum, dad, two big brothers and one little sister. We had an organic farm with 90 milk cows and vegetables and my parents ran this farm with another family who we shared a big manor house with.

In 2014 at the age of 19 I graduated from high school (high school roughly correspond to the Danish "gymnasium") and then I moved to Aalborg which is the biggest city in the northern part of Denmark. I was lucky to find a wonderful permanent job at a day nursery for 0-3 year old children. I have lived and worked in Aalborg for two years now. At first I lived with one of my best friends and then with a girlfriend. Now I live by myself. At the start of August I am moving out and quitting my job because I want to start my travel-adventure and experience the world using couchsurfing and workaway!

After the summer of 2017 I would like to start studying but I got no idea what study it will be.. So the next year I hope that I will get some ideas about what I want to study and what I am going to do with my life and I believe that travelling the world and meeting a lot of different people will make this happen.

I am a warm person and I want everybody in my life to feel good and accepted. I am a responsible person and I will not waste other people's time.

I am looking forward to meet some wonderful people from other countries on my journey! :)

Interests

I love being in the nature and being physical active; working out in the open, running, hiking and so on. I have hiked in Jotunheimen in Norway, Kungsleden (Kings Road) in Sweden and of cause in Denmark. I have also climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland and my next wish is to hike the Camino in Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Seriously I cannot label what music I like. It is all the way from radio-pop music to folk music. Some bands: Eivør, Red Hot Chili Peppers, D.A.D, Mont Oliver, Daft Punk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the beginning of my interrail last summer I took from Istanbul to Athen in one big trip. I do not know if it was an amazing experience.. but it was pretty boring and warm sitting in trains for about 36 hours. ;)
