About Me

Programmer, mostly in Python. I use Windows for playing computer games and Linux for everything else. Vegetarian since 2014, love cooking/baking veg/vegan food/cakes (still learning). Non-smoker (does shisha count?)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Preferred way of travelling, really; low-cost and meeting new people, much more fun than staying at hostels. Probably the best way to learn languages, about different cultures and broadening my views.

Interests

Music enthusiast, love listening to records from my vinyl collection and going to live shows. I prefer small venues and not well-known bands since huge stadium shows/festivals are pretty annoying and my musical taste kinda diverted from that as well. Bass player in a rock band. Fully self-taught and really lame though :)

Music, Movies, and Books

-music-mostly all kinds of rock stuff, classic, punk, indie, alternative, post/emo/HC/grind/gore, bit of hip hop here and there
-movies-non-conventional, challenging and weird movies, for example anything by David Lynch
-books-mostly Stephen King, other authors I like are Bukowski, Payne, Irving, Čapek. I am really slow reader and I recently switched to reading original and not translated versions, so there's plenty of books for a lifetime for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably has to be a roadtrip we made with two friends. We started in Pilsen, Czech Republic and went through Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France by ferry to United Kingdom. It lasted 14 days and we drove around 5000km. It made me much better driver and it was great experience with couchsurfing since it was our prefered way of staying at places.
