About Me
Hello!
My name is Thayná, I’m a brazilian psychologist with a PhD, but what truly drives me is adventure! My journey around the world began at 16 when I traveled alone to South Africa on a mission trip. Since then, I've explored nearly 30 countries, and each experience has taught me something unique.
Currently, I’m embarking on a special project with my brother Luiz and my sister-in-law Fabiana called "The World Through Other Eyes." This initiative aims to make tourism accessible for people with disabilities, particularly those with visual impairments. Luiz, who has Stargardt disease, dreams of being the first visually impaired person to visit every country in the world. We want to show that even in the face of challenges, dreams can come true!
We're dedicating our months of travel to make this project a reality, with no financial support. That’s why we’re incredibly open to help from Couchsurfers like you! Whether it’s through accommodation or any other kind of support, your generosity would mean the world to us.
If you'd like to learn more about our project, feel free to check out our Instagram profiles and the complete project link below. Together, we can make a difference!
Let’s swap stories and create amazing memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of connection and shared experiences! Traveling isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about meeting incredible people and learning from their stories. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to engage with local cultures and communities in a way that traditional tourism can’t.
As we embark on our project "The World Through Other Eyes," we’re looking to connect with open-hearted individuals who can help us along the way. Whether it’s a place to stay, sharing a meal, or just offering advice about your city, every little bit helps us make this dream a reality.
I’m excited to exchange stories, learn from your experiences, and hopefully inspire you with ours!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most transformative experiences I've had was traveling alone for the first time abroad on a mission trip with my church. This journey sparked my curiosity and opened my eyes to the world beyond my own bubble. It taught me the beauty of connection and the richness of different cultures.
Now, I want to share that experience with my brother, Luiz. I hope to give him the opportunity to explore the world and express his unique perspective as a person with a visual impairment. I believe that by doing so, he can inspire others and show that everyone, regardless of their challenges, can experience the wonders of travel and connection.
Together, we can break down barriers and broaden horizons!
