About Me

Hi,

I'm Elli.
I am open minded and I really laugh a lot... not sure if that's good or annoying :D Decide for yourself!
Oh, and I join any nonsense.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all I am a social person -so of course I like meeeting new people and hearing interisting stories, making new friends, learning from other cultures and many other things that can happen when you meet strangers.
Then I like the idea of sharing your flat with someone who maybe can't afford a hotel and so making experiences possible that otherwise wouldn't happen at all. This is something that I want to provide on one hand and that I am also thankful for - provided by nice people I don't know yet - on the other hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock music - almost everything that rocks, including metal, alternative, yeah, almost everything that rocks - but not excluding other genres like folk, hip hop, etc. (especially if they are mixed with rock ;))
My favourite movies... mh... I like psycho thrillers, horror, film noir, action, satire - films with a twist in the end and non-cliche-ends. I also like childrens movies, but not all of them: e.g. Disney - no!, Hayao Miyazaki - definitely yes! I usually don't like romantic comedy and catastrophic movies are the worst.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow, this is a hard question! I think I'll take my time in China, because it shows how spontaneous I am.
Right before starting my bachelor thesis I still had to do an internship and I felt like going to another country. So within one day I decided to go to China and made my applications. The next day I had the answer. I would have flewn right away, but it took some time to get a new passport and the visa. About a month later I took my flight to Shanghai and stayed there for half a year, communicating whith my hands and my feet - due to my bad Chinese
