About Me

Once I was asked to write down the 5 things I couldn't study abroad without, and it pretty sums up what I am:

1. Myself: I’m pretty sure I couldn’t be able to study abroad if I didn’t bring Myself. Now that’s tricky: Myself brings some other things with him. He has a great sense of humor and a huge sense of adventure. He’s also enthusiastic, confident and very curious, so I have a big pack to bring with me right there. He likes to live outside his comfort zone, so it can get awkward sometimes, but his good attitude towards experiences makes up a lot. Myself would like to bring his good looks, but he doesn’t have any.
2. Smiles: Me and Myself know that a smile can open a million doors. We love meeting new people and visiting new places, and a smile can make the whole difference between a good and a bad impression, experience, or disposition towards new situations.
3. Guitar: Myself is a pretty good singer and he’s learning to play the guitar. Music is a part of his life and can’t be out of a semester studying abroad. It can even be a source of income, so in case Myself runs out of money (worst case scenario) he can always play in bars and squares to survive (and, why not, to woo the ladies).
4. Camera: Every new experience needs to be registered, and a picture is worth a thousand words. I rather have a camera with me than a diary, but that’s just a personal opinion.
5. Clothes: Because, you know, manners.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because starting in September, 2015 I'm studying abroad in the University of Edinburgh for one semester. I've heard that Couchsurfing it's a cool platform to meet new people and get closer to the culture of every place you want to visit.
I love meeting new people and if it's low cost, even better! As a student it's tricky to get to the end of the month having no source of income, so Couchsurfing it's awesome in every aspect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At one concert I was singing at, we were playing "Know your Enemy" by Rage Against The Machine and I dropped the mic and crowed surfed in the audience! When you ask for "One Amazing Thing" that comes to mind right away.
Also I had the blessing to visit Africa with a bunch of classmates. The best experience of my life :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience as a southern chilean, as an engineering student of one of the best universities in my country, as a singer and performer in many cool events.
