About Me

I am just a normal hobbit like creature which for some reason happened to obtain medical diploma. Right now I'm on my way to become anesthesiologist (yeah, that guy who is putting you to sleep before your surgery and if he is in a good mood, he will wake you up as well :)). I'm enjoying living in its small cosy flat in center of small cosy spaa town (Karlovy Vary= Charle's Spa), but I love to hike around or abroad whenever possible. Before that I spent some years studying in Prague, where I worked for the only real czech outdoor store - Hanibal. Great times I had with these outdoor, running, climbing, hiking, expedition psychoes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I prefere to stay in a nature (with few of my fellows or on my own) I can't think of a better way to enjoy city visit than to stay with locals and share drink and some funny stories with them. During my travels I love to meet new inspiring people, share story or advice with them and to enjoy another human beeings and their ways of living. I joined the couchsurffing just recently, but heard many good references from my freinds (as both hosts and guests).

Interests

Aside from beeing doctor in the begining of his carier (with all its ups and downs... lots of downs :)) I am trying to travel as much as possible. I like to do some excercise from time to time if its not to much effort :), e.g. climbing, bouldering, slacklining, runnig. When work is to much and my head is about to explode I like to become lighter than the air and fly around in hot air balloon. And last not least I can honestly say I enjoy fantasy worlds very much. Even happen to play Magic the Gathering card game from time to time... Yeah, doctors can be nerds too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ink on my medical doctor diploma is still too fresh not to proud of that :)... but walking the 120 km long Darcha trek in Zanskar part of Himalayas (4000-5500 m.a.s.l. ) was pretty amazing (my lungs definitely enjoyed it)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share that knowledge about first aid, survival skill, hiking, safe traveling and so that I happened to collect during my travels. I can teach you to suture wound properly (hygienicly and as painless as possible), how to treat trevelers diarrhoea and so on. I can share lot info about outdoor equipmenet and gear as well.
I"d love to learn about your culture, history of your country and all your customs.
