About Me

I'm an exchange student from Brazil who lives in Bergen, Norway. I consider myself someone on the path of knowledge, in process of self-discovering, mirroring me in the world, learning about my inner self through the experiences that I live. The world, in the most wide sense, is for me amazing and stunning, although astounding. The secret resides in knowing how to balance the horror of being a human being with the wonder of being a human being.
I have a compulsive passion to discover in deepness every person that crosses my path, even being a little bit shy with people that I have never seen in my life. Respect and gentleness are fundamental words in this process: I respect every kind of differences, since they do not comprise intolerance and hate. Being kind, in my point of view, is extremely important to create bridges between different personalities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing provides us the possibility to help people who want to discover new places and to get to know the diversity of culture and habits. That is the beauty of world society: the manifoldness. And I'm fascinated by that as much as I'm fascinated by how diverse nature is.

Interests

To listen, this is my main interest. Listening to people and their experiences, how they live and how they perceive the world. Listening to music, especially traditional and classical ones. Listening to nature, the accent of the rivers, the nuances of the bird's songs and the subtle sounds of the leaves dancing to the wind. Listening to my inner voice. Listening to my needs and other people's necessities.

And because I love to listen, I appreciate the silence and the void.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could make a list of the most important ones in my life at the moment, but I prefer to say that my favorite things are constantly changing, as is my life. However, I can cite one song by which I'm fascinated since I was a child: air on the G string. This song carries me to spheres of life not conceivable in my quotidian. And those spheres are, for me, eternity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the winner between 500 millions of competitors in the first race of my life :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something to teach, learn and share. In terms of abilities, I can teach how to play the guitar. Of course it demands time, so I believe I'm able to give people some tips and available to answer as much doubts as my knowledge permits. Besides, I'm humble enough to learn about absolutely anything (specially languages), and by doing that, I can teach how to listen.

I am willing to share my life entirely, including my experiences, fears, wishes and needs. And I am totally open to receive another person's life, if he or she is willing to share it with me. Moreover, when I host people, I am completely able to share my everyday life and things that will make them comfortable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My gratefulness and my excitement toward life.
