About Me
Hey Guys,
I'm Nils, 27 Years old and live in a shared flat.
I think I'm a relaxed, open minded person (like everyone here?). But please come and see for yourself. Paint your own picture of me :). I am often joking around, not taking life too seriously.
I'm an earth scientist and interested in almost every aspect of nature. Music, movies, cooking, climbing and computers are all a big part of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to become more opened up towards strangers and get to know different cultures. I think couchsurfing is a great way to do that. Also I stayed on a couch for my first night here in Mainz and want to return the favor :).
Interests
I’m into music, science, computers and arts.
I love hiking climbing and running, meeting with friends, going for a walk or hanging out at a bar or cafe.
I also play piano and guitar (occasionally) and sing. So I’d love a jam session to play some more :).
Also, I am a passionate cook and love cooking for others. Being a vegetarian I don’t know anything about meat, but give me any plant and I’ll cook you something nice out of it ☺️
I also have a small collection of board games, which I which I could play more often.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music. Mostly though, I enjoy indie and alternative rock, folk and psychedelic music. On the other side I also love techno, and psytrance (especially on the dancefloor).
I mostly watch thrillers, dramas, adventurous movies, and (both stupid and "intellectual”) comedy. I don't really like plain action movies. I also like to watch a lot of anime of varying styles, and I'm sure I could recommend you one that you're into, no matter what your taste in movies is like.
As for books I read very irregularly and don't have a special genre I enjoy the most. But I mostly read classical novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surviving this far
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook you some very nice vegetarian or vegan food 🥘 .
I can also share my amateur guitar and piano knowledge. If you're better than me though, I guess you have to teach me :).
I am a geoscientist and know a lot about or planet and it’s history, space, fossils, ecosystems, and all kinds of stuff.
I also know a thing or two about computers, technology, programming, and the like. I always like to exchange about these, or about digital rights.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can serve good coffee and tea. I also enjoy cooking delicious vegetarian meals for all of my friends (which counts you in). The apartment is super big, has a lovely balcony, and lies directly beneath the Rhine
