About Me
*Drifting in Europe for 2 years now and cant host, wait till i return home and i will guide you all around* :)
"Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero"
"Seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future"
Now --- Devoting myself in 1 year hitchhiking + minimalist journey
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am Po
journalist / 33 years old woman / supporter of diverse sexuality & LGBT / anti - racist and right-wing / into Zen and Buddhism / hometown Hong Kong
I love my hometown.
I love writing and my mother tongue - Traditional Chinese & Cantonese.
I love people - strangers from hitchhiking, interviews, my friends, my family, sometimes "difficult people" labelled by our society. I see their beauty.
I love cats & animals & the nature.
Have devoted all my time working, in my 20s.
a court reporter / an editor of Book Magazine / an art + culture + education journalist for 7 years
It broaden my view, it inspires me everyday.
I love interacting with strangers. Sharing ideas, thought and feeling in one moment. It sparks, this is the most beautiful thing in life.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start my long term / no direction / not much plan / slow travelling since Nov 2015. Been to Czech, Austria and 6 months in Berlin.
Take a train or bus, in 2 hours crossing the boarder. The dialect, food, smell of the air, buildings and the streets totally change.
Staying with CS people and see / feel / take part of the diversity. We are not "just" what we told in school, tv, works and social system. Many people live in their own ways out there.
Start from Sept 2016, I decide to make a 1-year hitchhiking trip.
I wish to
- travel in a minimal + less consuming way
- learn about life. Especially people living out of the system and anti-capitalism
- sharing big love, contributing to people & the world
- learn and live with the nature
- practicing "Carpe diem"

# Some important notes for my hosts in the future
- I believe there is special chemistry between people. Sometimes i can talk a lot and exchange good energy from the first moment. Some days it takes time. I guess it is same to everyone. So we will see.
- It won't work if I just spend time with you 1 day / 1 night. It will be just an hostel and we won't get to know each other. Then i better go to Hostel.
- No super-packed sightseeing travel.
I like to go to the market and see how people live their ordinary life. Or just take a walk without planning. Some days i will get lazy and just wanna cook and eat something good.
# Hosting
- I learn about CS since last year on the road. No chance to host yet. But i am more than happy to welcome my CS friends once back to Hong Kong. Either hosting or spending time with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
"No risk, No fun"
People always tell me, couch surfing is dangerous.
All the fear and danger is "constructed"
The first moment I did couch surfing in Dresden, i fell in love with it and i have surfed nearly 10 - 12 homes in 2.5 months. It is the best experience in my life --- seeing people, chatting about our dailies, food, interests, colours, dream, friends, love, society, politics......
I learn to share. I made good friends with some people through CS and they are always in my heart.
