About Me

Hi, my name is Luzie, I am home based in Berlin, and I love that city for its open-minded and tolerant atmosphere. I would consider myself a friendly, polite and clean person. I love to travel and my greatest adventure so far was walking the Way of Saint Jacob in Summer 2014. Seven weeks of walking with my backpack within only two pairs of underwear, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 shirts and a jacket were truly the greatest experience ever. Since then I've been traveling a lot to see the world and meet new people and I have been amazed by the kindness of people and the beauty of the world. So at this point, I would consider myself a travel addict ;).
When I stay in one place for a longer time it is usually because I study medicine and have to go to university, it takes a lot of my time but I still find some free time to play the piano, do some sports (jogging and gym, also basketball sometimes) or just relax with my friends in the park.
After living both in Italy (to study medicine) and the US (to do some crazy medical research) I am currently back in Berlin and try to help out with the crisis as much as possible. I am afraid travelling will be harder in the next months, however, I do not give up dreaming.

Last but not least some important information
1) I am not interested in any romantic offers
2) I do not take drugs

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I believe it is one of the best ways to meet people from around the world, to really get to know a different culture and also I appreciate the fact tha it makes travelling cheaper and affordable for everyone.
Honestly spoken I haven't used this platform a lot so far, but I have had people from different countries staying at mine who became my friends and I also stayed at other places and made friends all over the world.

Interests

I love music and play the piano (not really good though) and also the guitar (even worse). I also am bad at singing, but still like to do it not only under the shower. I like hiking and in my daily life, I love to find some balance in doing sport. I am a vegetarian and love to try food from all the different cultures. I am not really good at cooking, but I have some dishes that I certainly can cook well and my friends consider them delicious ;).

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourite books is 1984 from George Orwell (and it has been before Trump became president ;) ). I like to watch movies, my favourite one is "The Beach", but dont expect me to know any names of actors or actresses, I am way better with musicians. I couldn't decide for a favourite band or even a genre, but I would say i love Indie and Alternative music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain from St. Jean Pied du Port to Muxia in 2014
And I travelled and couchsurfed through south Italy (Puglia - the most beautiful place I have ever been to) with my buddy Weronika from Poland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach German, English and even Italian (currently on B2 level) and would love to learn Polish. I can share some of my traveling stories with you and my favorite spots in Berlin (no, Berghain is not among them).
