Hi there!
I'm Barbara from Amsterdam, and I just started a great year of traveling and doing an Internship in Washington DC. I would love getting to know people from different places and other travelers, so don't hesitate to send me a message!

After this awesome year, I plan to go to grad school and study international human law and political sciences.

I’m an outgoing, and open-minded person.
My mission is to see as much of the world as I can, and gain as much great experiences as I can along with that.

So, for now, I’m just traveling and doing an internship, and won’t be able to host. But in the near future I will definitely try to help out surfers back in Amsterdam!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m relatively new to couchsurfing, but heard from my friends who have traveled, and they loved it.

I really like the mentality of couchsurfers, it is so open minded and everybody wants to meet up and help people they don’t know (yet!). That’s amazing right?

I want to help create as well as share experiences traveling with those around me.

Interests

I like to travel and explore new places of course, read, cook (especially Italian food), listening to stories and live music, write and do Yoga (Iyengar, beginner) I'm also into art, and love to talk about it!

I love Stieg Larsson, but Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart

I always try to listen to different kinds of music, but my favorite style is jazz and Indie. If you have any good suggestions let me know!

I love Casablanca and Night Train to Lisbon, but I'm quite a movie-lover so I'll watch almost everything

I'm pretty excited about the internship I'm doing right now and about the work this NGO does but I've also visited a lot of great places an beautiful countries

I would love to learn about other people and their cultures, and of course, I can and share my stories and experiences in return.

Stories, food, a good time and I like giving back to the generous folks who share their spaces so if there are dishes or anything I can assist with I’d love to help out.
