About Me
** Currently traveling around Southeastern Asia**
I am Miguel, born in Madrid, capital of Spain, where I have been living for 21 years studying my degree in Environmental Sciences, field in which I would like to focus my career to contribute to improve this world.
I moved to Belgium to study 1 year of ERASMUS in Ghent, where I have to say I lived one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I had the opportunitty of living abroad, but also made me open my mind in a lot of ways.
After that I moved to Brussels, to do an internship in the European quarter. Where I started my adventure here in CS, despite I knew it from long time ago, but I never tried.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a proactive person who loves traveling and meeting new people from different countries and cultures. And I think what Couchsurfing offers is excatly that: The best way to know locals and have the opportunity to be integrated in a city discovering the best places not only for the tourists, but for everyone.
And as host I think it's always good to know people from all around the world and help them to know the city.
Interests
I like sports (more watching them than practising hahaha); animals specially dogs with I have a very good treatment; movies and series; and everything related to the environment, from Natural Parks and ecology to different projects to develop a more sustainable world.
I am a really Atletico de Madrid supporter, so do not scary if you watch a match with me lol.
And of course I love traveling, discovering and walking hours through new cities, mountains, countrisides... whatever hahaha
Music, Movies, and Books
I like every kind of music, really, but maybe now my favourite music groups are alternative spanish groups, known, but not too much.
I love discovering news groups totally unknown. And of course share music with others CS is always great.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I thinks it's not really amazing, but I went to Kenya, and the safaris there were such an amazing experience.
I got out of the car a few times hahaha, pretty risky (NOOOOOOOT REALLY).
But in list-to-do are skydiving, and I'd really like to learn to do paragliding, swim with whales, sharks (in a cage, please).
And I do not know... but I am totally open to any suggestion
Teach, Learn, Share
Mmmm I do not know, hahaha maybe some Spanish.
I am an average cook, but I can give some tips about tortilla and other spanish meals hahaha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I thing one of the best things I can offer and share with my hosts/guests are interesting conversations and laughts apart from respect and education for their lifestyles.
The principal reason I am in CS is for knowing pretty well not only the place I am visiting but also the lifestyle, people, manners... IT IS GREAT.
