About Me

After 8 years working on my own internet startup, I quit my life to start going around the world with my travel mate Cristina. Our objective is to go around the world without taking any planes... so far we've visited France, Germany, Russia, Corea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Laos, Tailand and Malaysia... always on land or water :)
As you can see, we love travelling, and are in a period of life when we can take things slowly, and get to know places and people just for the sake of it. This is probably the best way to travel, and to enjoy life, with no other particular objectives than sharing stories, and meeting new ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people from the places we visit. More than monuments or museums, I look forward to meet people and their way of life and thinking. This is what I find most enriching about travelling. I also think this is a good chance to share my experiences and skills, which can be more valuable if I get to share them with other people.

Interests

I love travelling and meeting people and the stories everybody has. I love writing, and for good writing it is essential to meet and understand people. I like it when I find different ways of thinking and living.
Other than that, I like having a simple life. Having time to walk without hurries, have a coffee, good food, listen to live or recorded music, cooking,... Anything that I can do with time and love is usually worth it.
As a previous tech entrepeneur, I am always keen to learn about the starup world and alternative ways to work better and smarter.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly like blues and jazz, though I enjoy popular music in general. Classic piano is also a favourite of mine. Any Woody Allen movie always makes me have a good time and sets me in a good mood. I am not good at being constant with books, but reading is one of my favourite passions, even though if I jump from book to book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going across Russia with the Transiberian train. Helping clean the beaches in Koh Lipe, Tailand, which are amazing but also suffer from the incredible amount of rubbish that floats in the ocean.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I've been travelling for quite a long time, I can share tips and stories on the places I've visited. We are only travelling by land and sea, so that means we might go through many places which might be off the beaten track, and hence maybe more interesting.
In my previous life, my company was Google's largest partner in Europe for Google Analytics software, hence I am quite good at digital marketing and analytics. If you have a website/app and need some help making it better, I can try and help you out. I have also quite a lot of experience starting a startup company from scracth, all the way to selling it, so I can share my knowledge about this experience, which might be valuable to your own business.
I am also a good cook, always ready to cook a spanish tortilla de patatas or even a paella and share it together.
