Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently living in Monterrey since 2012. I graduated a few months ago from medical school and I am working in a clinic in the countryside as part of our obligatory social service, so I'm only available to host or catch up during weekends. My true passions are traveling and food, so if you are a good chef I'd definitely be pleased to try one of your dishes! I don't have a car and public transportation sucks, I'd recommend to rent a car or to use Uber, if you rent a car you can park it in the parking lot if you want. Also, I'm gay, but I don't really hang in clubs and bars, "out of scene" as people say, but I know one place or two ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend recommended me this app to meet people from the places I visit, no one like a local to tell you what you can't miss! Also, two heads think better than one, so it's always welcome to have a travel buddy to share experiences with.
Interests
I'm into cinema and music, as well as I'm into going out and partying. Depends on the mood!
- arts
- dining
- news
- traveling
- socializing
Music, Movies, and Books
My music mood depends on my life so it tends to change from time to time but I don't go along with reggaeton and banda (Latin subgenres)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the crystalline waters of Isla Mujeres in the south of Mexico, the water is so clear that can see all the fishes and rays below you!
Teach, Learn, Share
When I was traveling I did it all by myself, and found a lot of challenges during the journey, so right now if inside my apartment what's mine you can use it without asking, and if you need help, I'd be glad to give you a hand.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very open-minded (or at least I try to) and recently discovered that I'm quite talkative when I'm at ease, but I can look serious and aloof when people are starting to get to know me. I love food, so I know many restaurants around, from very cheap ones to others not so much, if you want recommendations you can tell me. Monterrey has a lot of cool places close to the city, great for hiking and mostly outdoors activities. I know many of them, and if I don't, I can ask my friends about them and help you. We can hang out if you want, but if you'd like to go by yourself, I understand, just stay in touch to know when to open or close the apartment door for you.
