At the moment I am travelling together with my girlfriend, Julia. We are planning to teach English in China but before we start teaching, we would like to see some of the country, learn something about the culture and share experiences and thoughts with people who already live there.

We are both travelling enthusiast who love meeting new people and learning about other cultures. Next to this, we both have a passion for music and reading and we love to chat with people over a nice meal or a drink.

Staying in hostels or guesthouses doesn't always give you the insight in a culture that you are really looking for. Staying with locals does. I love to meet new people from all over the world and the best way to get to know other places is to be shown around by people who know their way.

Amongst my interest are music, both of us enjoy going to concerts. I also like tattoos and outdoor activities such as mountain biking, kayaking and rock climbing.

My favourite music is blues and rock. I also enjoy metal and the occasional drum 'n bass.

Julia is an excellent cook and is happily helped by Yoeri the dishwasher and if you happen to own a guitar we can play a song or two.
And of course in case you are interested we could swap stories about the Netherlands, about Yoeri's study in Belgium or his teaching period in Malawi, about Julia's life in Australia or her studies in England and about all the other countries that we've visited, and vice versa.
