I'm Nele, 26 years old,flemish girl. I work in the centre of Brussels in a centre for homeless men and asylum seekers. A job that I do with a lot of passion.
In my spare time I try to climb or walk regularly. Sport is a bit of a leitmotiv in my life. In the evening I'm always eager to go for a drink and catch up with .
And when I really have a lot of time, longer periods, I travel. Preferably intensively and on a way to meet as much as possible locals, to get to know the culture a bit better. I have rediscovered the charm of Europe and would like to visit more places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did a first couchsurfing when I was in Sri Lanka. Together with this boy I visited such beautiful places, which I would never have found otherwise. Since then I had that couchsurfing can offer me a lot more than the basic tourist books.
So far I have mainly met new people through the hangouts and events.
During my travels I've had a lot of couchsurfing and every time these were very positive experiences. Sometimes very intense and you immediately feel a click, other times more superficial but super cozy and with lots of hospitality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

a few years ago I went to Iceland, that was fantastic! This year I'm travelling in south america on a real slow way. I have been in peru and Ecuador and it's the best decisionof my life! And 2 years ago i lived in Sri Lanka for 6 months.
I love discovering other cultures, travelling and being happy during all of this. ☺

I'm a Belgian girl, moved from the countryside to Brussels. Until now I love living here and this is my new home. I would like to meet new people, both locals and travelers. Together we can explore the city further and find new places. I would very much like to be able to offer travellers a bed, unfortunately this is very difficult. I live in a cohabitation where I also want to respect the privacy of my other housemates.
