Hi there, my name is Amanda, I'm 26 years old and I grew up in Germany!
My parents come from Portugal, that is why I can also speak Portuguese!

After I finished high school and the attempt of studying dentistry, soon enough I decided that this lifestyle's just not for me and that there's simply to much beauty out there that needs to be discovered. So I started to travel the world! I planned to stay for 1 year, I came back after 3.

Now I found my new home in the city of my dreams: Berlin! And I'm doing what I have loved my whole life, music.
I'm a singer-songwriter, street musician, looping artist, producer. I actually love all aspects of music!
If u like music, too, maybe we can start a jam session, as I normaly always travel with my guitar! Otherwise, I also really enjoy just to make music for other people.

And what is there more to say? I guess I'm a dreamer, I have always been. I believe that beauty and magic can be found anywhere at anytime, as long as we're just willing to open our eyes and recognize it.
When I travel I feel like it gets easier for me to be grateful for things we take for granted so many times and to see beauty in small and simple things that really matter.

I really like people and socializing! So many times it's people that make our experiences worthwile and we can always learn so much about ourselves just by being with other people.

I like the quote "Happiness is only real when shared". We can visit the most beautiful places, achieve the most amazing things, but they only become truely meaningful to us when we can share them with those we love. At least that's what I believe in :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I think it gives you a much nicer experience, a local experience. You step out of your comfort zone and at the same time learn so much more about yourself and other people, other cutures.
It's all about sharing a bit of our world with someone else's world.

Interests

In general I love everything that is related to music: I play different instruments and sing, I produce music and I also really like songwriting.

Apart from that I really love dancing and all different kinds of art like photography, painting, poetry.. Anything that is creative, really.

Of course I also love travelling! I like being outside in nature and being active, to do some hikes, to climb mountains, to swim and surf in the sea, to do some kayaking and SUP, or to simpy enjoy the sun!

I'm also interested in fitness, cooking, yoga, meditation and I enjoy reading interesting, mind blowing books.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a hard question as there are just to many!

I actually like all types of music. I enjoy Techno to party but I also like Hip-Hop, Salsa, Samba, Jazz, Acoustic music, Classical music, alternative stuff... There's actually no limit!

My favorite movie is American Beauty, but I also enjoyed movies like Inception, Shutter Island, Lucky Number Sleven, Fight Club, Revolutionary Road, Matrix, Lord of the Rings.

My favorite writer is Haruki Murakami (Kafka on the shore), but I also enjoy books from Hermann Hesse (Siddhartha), Paolo Coelho (The Alchemist), Sergio Bambaren and many others.
