Overview
About Me
I am a scientist by profession and work for the MESA+ Institute of Nanotechnology in The Netherlands. I have lived in Germany for 3 years while I did my masters and worked at the Max Planck Institute.
I am a simple, happy and healthy person. I love to teach, especially those who like to learn and have volunteered to teach underprivileged children in several NGOs in my country, India. One of the pics is in my profile. I lead a peaceful life, and I don't get disturbed by others thoughts or actions.
Hobbies include meditating, rollerskating, playing Tennis and having a great time with friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel quite frequently, to different cities and often different countries. Couchsurfing seems like a great platform for the same.
Some of the places I've been to in the last 3 years are:
Mallorca, Santorini, Athens, London, Manchester, Bath, Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Bratislava and Slovakian countryside, Prague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Brussels, Antwerp, Brugges, Ghent, Paris, Basel, Zurich
Berlin, Dresden, Aachen, Hannover, Hamburg, Freiburg, Munich, Stuttgart........
(Bonus: Kerala, Bangalore, Melukote, Coimbatore, Thekkady in India)
Interests
Having lived in three countries and traveled to at least a dozen others, wandering is a habit to me. I love listening to Classical music (Bach, Vivaldi, and Pergolesi) as much as Carlos Santana and Dream Theater as well as Eastern classical music.
A connoisseur of stringed instruments, I love listening to the Guitar and Sitar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've collected over 50,000 different matchboxes with awesome designs and makes from 79 countries. They have a whole history associated with them!
Teach, Learn, Share
Love to do all the three :) Music, books, Yoga and meditation.
I see things as they are, without prejudice and judgment. I believe that simplicity is probably the most difficult thing, but once achieved, can do wonders.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences so far, differences in culture, food, music, education, and knowledge between countries, and how much is assumed without reason. I prefer discussions over arguments!
I have lived the first 22 years of my life in India, a country rich with culture, knowledge, sciences and introspection. I have lots to share, and a pair of eager and attentive ears which listen.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates
