About Me
Bonjour-hi fellow couchsurfer! I'm Mauricio, a Peruvian-Canadian engineer who had recently discovered the wonders of solo travelling
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On 2016, I met lots of fellow solo backpackers/couchsurfers while in Europe. This was my first experience in such an environment, but I had such a great time getting to know people from all over the world. However, I didn't get to know local culture as much as I'd like to based on hanging out with other tourists. I didn't need to couchsurf back then because I was staying with friends, but I know that travelling is all about the people, and the cultures we get to know through them.
I'm on couchsurfing because I'd like to know how people live their lives in the cities I'm visiting; get to know details and insights I would've missed out if I were staying inside the Hostel bubble; and sharing experiences with the kind hosts/couchsurfers.
Whether it is hosting or being a couchsurfer, I know the experience is a win-win for both sides!

What I Can Share with Hosts
@Hosts: I'm travelling to learn how people live their lives in different cities in Latin America. Born and raised in Lima, I can share a bunch of travelling information and tips, traditional food/drink recipes. Currently living in Montreal, I can also provide information on travelling across Canada and New England!
@Surfers: Since I just got my bachelor's and taking a break l I'm happy to spend some time and show you around Montreal, what a great Winter city it is, and how to get the best out of your stay.
Soyez bienvenu(e)(s)!
