About Me

Hi!

I am a 22 years old student from Montreal, Canada. I love going on adventures and traveling. I try to make all of my trips as fulfilling as they can be, meeting locals and enjoying both city life and the wilderness.

For me travelling is about people and culture. I love to take the long journey home and to take the time to appreciate the landscape. This is why I prefer hitchhiking over planes and cooking over restaurants. I like learning new languages and making friends from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Locals always know where to get the best coffee.

Interests

I love being oudoors! I have been a camp counselor in Canada for 4 years and I have been leading canoe-camping expeditions of up to 2 weeks. I like to whitewater kayak, hike mountain, rock-climb, bike, etc. I just love waking up in a tent, with the sound of rain hammering on the roof.

Also, I studied philosophy and political science in Montreal. I really like post-modern political thought and I'm always up for a discussion!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and books! I am into a lot of stuff. I listen to rock, ska, country, hip hop... I really like to go to concerts and would be more than happy if you where able to suggest some while I'll be in your town!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I booked a flight to India 2 weeks before I left. I boarded my plane with a half-baked visa and manage to make my way across northern India.

I also guided canoe expeditions. I was responsible for the participants' safety while ensuring that they had a lot of fun and develop outdoors and social skills. The kids I worked with were mostly between 13 and 17.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of stuff! I love to cook and have a great sense of humor. I can talk about philosophy, politics, culture, books, plays, movies. I am really open minded and I am always up for an adventure!
