ABOUT ME

Hi!
My name is Toon and I'm from Belgium. You know... That tiny country in Europe with French Fries/chips and beer! I'm a student in Pedagogy of the early years, but graduated last year as a primary school teacher.

Describing myself is always a hard thing to do, but I'll give it a shot!
I'd say I'm a sociable and friendly person who likes laughing. A lot.
The best way to make me happy is to give me a good meal (self-coocked or out to diner) and a night out with people.
I'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter books and movies!
(Yeah, I know there's an 'Interests' section, but I thought this was important to mention :D)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling a lot myself. I've been to some different countries, in- and outside of Europe.
I'm also very interested in meeting different people. Especially people who have something in common, like say... traveling?
And honestly. What's not to support about the Couchsurfing initiative? Free sleeping accomodation, meeting people and sometimes free advice for things to see... Love it!

Interests

I'm a hobby-actor and a youth-leader at the Scouts, a youth movement.
I've played the saxophone and try to play the guitar and uke.
Further on, I like traveling (what a surprise!) and some nice food and drinks...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music genres, going from pop-songs on the radio to softrock from the eighties or disney music!
Besides that I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. I've read all books in English and Dutch and seen all movies.

My taste of movies goes from comedy to horror and from Disney to fantasy. But please, oh please, don't present a romantic drama to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in Suriname for 3 months.
Probably one of the best experiences in my life!
Ask my anything about it. I could talk for hours!
