About Me
Hi! My name is Angeles and I'm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am an IHC/ELE certified teacher.
My first ever teaching Spanish experience begun in the beautiful region of Kanagawa in Japan back in 1992 and for the past 8 years I have been teaching in a variety of environments. From private tutoring, to classrooms, as well as teaching over the Internet, I have had many wonderful experiences in my job. I love what I do, and I'm looking forward to sharing what I know with non-native Spanish speakers from all around the world. I love to pass my enthusiasm for the subject on to others and what I enjoy most about teaching my mother tongue is meeting students from other countries and cultures, learning new things from them, tailoring my lessons to their particular needs, helping them improve their Spanish, and seeing them progress in their lives and careers.
Learning a different language can be hard, but it can also be a fun and rewarding experience. Although I am a native Spanish speaker, I can relate to students because I had to learn English when I was younger. When I first started learning English, it was a real challenge, especially pronunciation. And at age 18, I traveled to Japan with my family and started to learn Japanese, another big challenge, especially writing. This experience has helped me to understand some of the cultural differences of my students, including differences in how they may approach learning, writing, body language, and speaking.
