"Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful."

Hi everybody, my name is Viera, but almost everyone in my family calls me Sisi (Why? A long story, but very interesting and funny one, I can explain to you when we meet). Anyway, most of the friends simply call me Vie, Vierka, Vierunka. I come from the most beautiful country in the heart of Europe named Slovakia. I am the student of the Chinese philology and the Applied economics at the Palacky University in Olomouc, the city with breathtaking cultural sights and wonderful people in the Czech Republic. At the moment I am staying in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, People’s Republic of China. I was the lucky one who was given a scholarship to study here for a year.

Who I am? How do I behave? What do I like? - these questions are difficult to answer, but when I find out, I will let you know :)

When the sun shines I am crazy, spontaneous, joyful, when it starts raining I feel rather moody but there are things, which no matter how weather is, can always change my mood to shining one. Do you really wanna know what I am talking about? Try to guess :) Yeah, I think it wasn’t so difficult to guess it right, so I really enjoy dancing in the rain, hanging with friends, walking, meeting new people, being lost in nowhere, drinking coffee, simply I enjoy being myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world, meet new people, encounter new cultures, religions, habits, food, types of entertainment, but most of all I wanna explore. Explore not only the beauties of the world, but most of all I want to broaden my horizons, move my "boundaries", leave my comfort zone and go beyond it. Because only there the miracles happen, only there I can get to know myself better, only there I can gain the framework to utilize my full potentials.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I had to answer this question for the first time, I’ve gotten stuck and couldn’t come up with anything. Now is the time I want to think of it and figure it out. When I think about one thing that I can be proud of, I think about my outlook on life. The most impressive thing I have – is that I don’t regret anything I’ve done.
I’m not a perfect person, of course, I’ve always made lots of mistakes, but I don’t regret any of them. If you ask me whether I'd like to start learning chinese earlier, I's say YES. If you ask me, whether I’d like to start traveling and discovering the world earlier, I’d say YES. Whether I would like to be a better person, to help people more, to make people smile, to bring the happiness, I would definitely say YES. I’d have done a lot of things differently, if I had had a possibility. But if you ask me whether I’d change my life if I could, I’d say NO! No, I don't regret any second of my life, I don't regret my failures, my days full of tears, my disappointment, my mistakes ... I don't regret anything, because every tear, every decision made me another person, made me the person who I am now, in this second. Every wrong made up decision strenghten my personality and teach me the best lecture of life. That's why I am happy who I am :)
