About Me
Hey!
My name is Daniel and I'm currently living in the lovely city of Heidelberg, where I study Economics. I was born in Ulm, a city in southern Germany at the Danube river. Thanks to my parents, I was raised bilingual, so I speak both Hungarian and German fluently, but as it is with languages, I've forgotten a lot of my Hungarian.
I also speak English, a little French, and a little Spanish. I'm currently learning Chinese but it looks like I won't be able to speak this language in a thousand years.
After my last year in school I took a trip to Southeast Asia with a friend of mine. I realized how much I like to see new places, get to know new cultures and make friends from all around the world, having interesting conversations and learning to see things from a different perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I mentioned, I really like to get to know new cultures and new people from different countries and listening to their stories. So is there any better way than through couchsurfing? I also love to visit cities and go to the places the locals go to. In my eyes there is no better way to experience the liveliness of a city than that.
Interests
I enjoy playing guitar and singing. I'm currently working on my guitar play. I used to play in some musicals when I was younger.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really into funk and indie music, but usually I'm able to get to like all types of music.
I don't have a favourite movie, but I like movies that make me think of them even a week after I watched them.
Again I don't have a favourite book. Currently I'm reading the travel journal of Marco Polo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing a volcano in Indonesia at night and watching sunrise from the mountain top.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what people can learn from me. My guitar play is at an amateur level and I don't know, if people like how I sing. But I could at least pretend to be a crazy Rockstar, if that's needed.
I could also teach a few things about the languages I speak.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some funny stories of my live and some interesting things about German and Hungarian culture.
I also try to be as clean and cause as few problems as possible.
I'll be glad to help out with cooking or anything that's needed.
