About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to know a place is living with someone that is from there. I really like the concept of a net of people all around the world that host and travel on people sofas. It's one of the potential of internet and i'm glad we can take advantage of it to know people like us, but somewhere else.

I didn't verify my profile because i think that one of the concepts of couchsurfing is trusting people and let them come inside your house and your life.

If you don't like to host people that aren't verified you should consider the fact that is not money that make someone better than others :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Feeling-guided, raw, sincere, made with heart music. All kind of jazz, experimental, folkloric, psychedelic, percussive, groovy and some classic and indie rock too. I love Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Syd Barret, Daniel Johnston, Astor Piazzola, Fela Kuti, Coltrane, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Cartola etc etc etc.

I love the charm of the Nouvelle Vague. The cerebral side of Godard and the heart of Truffaut. The silences of Tarkovsky and Antonioni. The harshness of Bergman and Haneke. In addition to these, Herzog, Orson Welles, Hitchcock, Kubrick, Takeshi Miike, Jim Jarmusch, Scorcese, 80's classics, etc etc etc.

In literature, the masters of the American South fantastic realism: Julio Cortázar, Jorge Luís Borges and Horácio Quiroga.
