Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to meet as many people as possible. It's always good to discover a city with someone rather than being alone. And it's always a pleasure for me to show my beloved Bordeaux to newcomers when I have the occasion to host (which is not the case currently since I'm in the US).

Interests

I am fond of cinema. I try to discover as many movies as I can and tend to do the same with soundtracks which influence me a lot. I shoot some videos for my own pleasure and I am particularly fond of movies with "beautiful images".

I have had the chance to go on trips around the world with my parents. And now I keep the same habit and don't hesitate to leave my country for some time whenever I have the chance to. I have visited many countries in southeastern Asia (Burma was the last). However I know very little of Africa, and nothing of south America. My next destinations if possible would certainly be : Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Iceland and Norway.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm sorry but I love my French artists ehe : Christine and the Queens, Woodkid, Thylacine, Superpoze, Gesaffelstein, Scratch Massive...
And some internationals : Jamie XX, Massive Attack, Paul Kalkbrenner...
I listen to almost everything. I'll admit, Rap and Reggae are not my favorite genres, however I try to discover it with my Deezer account. So that I won't die ignorant. Like I said, I love movie soundtracks. And when I go tu clubs or festival, I like it to be techno and electro.

For the movies, I really really appreciate Life of Pi, Kung Fu Panda (all of them yes), Ex Machina, The Neon Demon & Spring Breakers for their gorgeous shots, Prometheus, Dragons, and eventually Gravity.

For books, I'll juste speak of one : Cloud Atlas which is remarkable for the way it is constructed and the way the book and the movie complement each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found myself by chance in the middle of a group of 30 dolphins in Zanzibar. Although they seemed not to move that much, I had to swim hard just to keep track of them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My passion for video. I always try to bring my cam with me and record anything that might be interesting (or beautiful on the screen sorry...).

I always love discussing about trips and countries. It's always good to receive some practical tips, and give some others in return.
