About Me

I love the outdoors life, grew up in a farm in a small town just outside Santiago, Chile and have always been surrounded by nature, animals and hard working life, and I love all that deeply.

Chile is a long and beautiful country, with so many landscapes and climates that I spend all my holidays as a kid exploring different parts of it, though I never travel too far.

My first real travel was a few years ago, and what was going to be a year living and working in New Zealand and some travelling afterwards quickly became a four year travel around the world. I explore a lot of south east asia, spend six months living in USA, visited Spain, Peru, Bolivia and Chile again and somehow found that indescriptible feeling, and need, to keep learning other cultures, to explore new places, to meet new people, to travel.

I found flavors, clothes, cultures, sounds, landscapes, houses, smells. I found a world filled with the unknown, a world to discover, but above all I found the people that turned my small trip into a real travel experience.

I have never believed that happiness is in a place that you can visit, or in a job that you can work on, or in a house that you own, or even in the hobby that you enjoy. For me happiness always have been in the people you share any or all those things with, and the people you meet along the way. Even if it’s not the place you hoped to be, or the house you wished you own, or the work or the car, happiness is in the people you share your life with, is in the persons you work with and how you relate to them, in the relationships you create there, is in your friends, your family, and the people you share your life with, either if they have always been there for you or if you just met them for a day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about CS a back in 2008 when a friend at work commented on it, though I didn't create and account back then. Later on, while travelling I met wonderful people who again commented on their great experiences, I was traveling with a girl at that time, and we started using her account to CS around Thailand, the Philippines, USA, Bolivia...

Wonderful memories of really nice people!!!
