About Me
!!! This is not a dating app, please do not contact me if you're just trying to hit on me. I don't need new online friends, I'm in a committed relationship, please leave me alone if you are not using this app for what it is meant for. !!!
I'm tired of thirsty messages clogging my inbox. Now to the actual bio for fellow travelers and hosts :)
I love a good, lighthearted banter, but also have a bit of a habit of getting into intense discussions with strangers. Especially about politics, subject that I hate to love (or is it other way around?) I'm the type of person to sat "yes" to any and all plans and it has gotten me into weird and wonderful places and I've met lovely people along the way.
My travels have been on pause for the past year. After coming home from a longer trip I moved into a new city and got into university, which has taken a lot of my time in the past year. It's also been a couple years since I've been able to host surfers again, and I'm so happy to do so again at last! Tampere, my new hometown still has a lot for me to discover, but I've gotten to know it well enough to show surfers around the stuff and places I found ( and still find) really cool!
Aside from studying I spend a lot of time with my friends, enjoy the outdoors as much as I can, try to keep my houseplants alive and play videogames. I'm also looking into fostering cats, so if you're allergic it might be a problem. During this past year of Living in Tampere I've gotten into the underground techno scene around here so on the weekends when there's some abandoned factory building filled with the thumping beat, I'll be there.
I'm all about living and letting others live as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's human rights.
I'm also aspiring to live a vegan lifestyle and eat only plant based food, but I don't care what you eat. Just don't force it down my throat (literally or figuratively)
It's sad that this has to be said here but: I value my time and my biggest pet peeve is people being late. If you have a change of plans or something unexpected happens, I'm cool with it if you message me. Don't leave me hanging! I'm making time for my guests, but I have life outside of CS.
I only accept friend requests from people I have already met in real life and can call friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always liked the concept of couchsurfing. I feel like you can get more authentic experience of the location you're visiting if you meet locals and let them guide you. I also believe that the more people one meets on their travels, the more memorable those trips are. I want to host people, help them to get to know my town and in the process get to know folks all around the world. It brings the world to me when I'm not traveling. And when I'm traveling I can experience the location I'm at at it's fullest.
Couchsurfing community has also saved my ass several times on my extempore- travels.
Interests
I love: traveling solo, adventures, abandoned places, secret parties, nature trails, sunshine, getting lost, finding my way again, petting all the cats, eating all the food and coming home at 8:30 am after dancing my feet sore.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm currently not discovering nearly as much new amazing music as I'd like. So let's chill and show each other our favourite songs! My all time favourite bands are probably RHCP, Alt-J, Portugal. the man, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Nirvana, also rap (mostly finnish though). Techno and House are always on the playlist to. I'm not a genre elitist- always open for new music.
I don't often watch movies, and haven't seen many classics out there. It's not that I don't enjoy movies (I do) but if I'm gonna sit in front of a tv I'm going to be playing a video game instead.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking from Bosnia Herzegovina to Turkey and meeting a bunch of nice people and hearing a lot of interesting stories along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can take you around Tampere and show you all the spots locals love, be it beaches, forests, cool bars and eateries or historical places. And if you're interested in the local ug scene I can take you with me to take a look.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook! One of my hobbies is "veganizing" traditional recipes and I've found that it's often fun to do together with someone who's into cooking.
If you're the one cooking, I can do the dishes :)
