Overview
About Me
I grew up in Malaysia and came to the UK where I've been most of my life now. I am an artist who loves getting my inspiration from daily life and makes mostly imagery, sometimes sculpture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After completing my MA in art I continued to pursue my passion full-time and have been developing new work and becoming much more active in the art scene. The unpredictability of being in art, though, makes it a challenge to survive in an expensive city like London- while its vibrant culture and art scene make it a great place to be an artist. I would love to make new friends through Couchsurfing to talk and share interests with, and get to know the city better with.
Interests
I love climbing, gardening, cooking ( I can whip up some mean South-east-asian dishes!), reading and enjoying a quiet cup of coffee or long walk. I work every day on my current art projects, mostly on the computer and in the libraries, along with field trips outside every now and then.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, Tony Parson's Man and Boy and various art-related books and magazines...I love many different kinds of music from Celtic and Hindi rock to international folk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was originally trained as an engineer and worked in the field for 12 years. Six years ago I left my work to pursue a BA and MA in fine art studies in London. Looking back this is one of the most amazing decisions that I have made, and even though it has been full of risks and hardships, I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share some art experiences with my hosts; would love to bring them on visits to exhibitions or keep them in the know with art events if they are interested! I'm also happy to learn and share cooking tips and dishes; if you like spicy food I'll be glad to whip up some south-east asian cuisine and teach you how they're made.
