Overview
About Me
Hi!
I'm from Rimouski, Quebec, Canada and I studied physics and German at Université Laval in Canada. I'm a geek-of-many-things.
I'd say I'm a funny guy and that I'm really open to new things and people. I'm altruistic and often put others before myself. I'm a really patient person, and I'm more extroverted than introverted.
I definitely identify myself as pro-feminist and supporter of the LGBTQ+ and non-white people struggles. I am a white-straight-cisgender-man and therefore I try to act as best as I can in regards of the privileges that I have and of which I am aware.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to share with people who are passing by near my home, without specifications regarding the sharing: food, time, thoughts, laughs!
I'm really drawn to getting to know new people, and I like to help others in as many ways as possible, therefore I find Couchsurfing to be the best of both worlds.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: The Bicentennial Man, Foundation, and other works from Isaac Asimov. I'm a huge fan of his. A Song of Ice and Fire. Der Steppenwolf (Hesse). I also like other Sci Fi works, thrillers, fantasy, biographical works and popularized-science works.
When a pen-and-paper game really looks interesting, I can spend a lot of time diving in the books and reading not only about the history and the lore, but the mechanics and how the game works too, even if I don't intend to play in the near future.
Movies: Interstellar from Christopher Nolan. Also all his recent movies, as well as classics from Tarantino and Kubrick. Movies from the Quebec scene like Mommy, Les doigts croches, Les invasions barbares, La grande séduction. Other than that, I like to watch art and repertory cinema; Hannah Arendt, Die Fetten Jahre Sind Vorbei, Die Welle, Kara Kara. I'm not really a fan of huge blockbusters, though I may see one of them once in a while.
Tv-shows: Doctor Who, Orange is the New Black, Game of Thrones, The Office, Breaking Bad, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Vikings, XIII.
Music: I listen to pretty much everything actually, but no hip-hop and I don't know much about electro, though I do like Daft Punk pretty much. My favourite genre is old progressive rock, like Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, Kansas, Camel, ELP, King Crimson. I also like old french classics like Charles Aznavour and Edith Piaf, for I find their works very poetic and inspiring. I also listen to Quebecers from the seventies up to now. I listen to metal music too, but only specific genres: folk/viking metal, progressive metal, power metal; my favourite bands in this genre are Ensiferum, Wintersun, Sonata Arctica, Finntroll. I also like blues quite a lot, and world music. I also like two bands from where I'm from; EQUSE and Talfast. Look them up, they're really good!
As for food, I like EVERYTHING, literally. I have some preferences though: north African and Indian food.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived alone abroad for 8 months, while working to help students learn French.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn new languages, whether it be expressions/idioms or more grammar/proper stuff.
I really like cooking for others, so I'd like to cook with and for the people whom I receive.
I'm also really interested in sharing my knowledge in the languages I already speak, that is teaching French, English and German.
Of course, I'm also really happy if one doesn't have anything to teach to me, and just getting to know other people is fine by me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can happily share my cooking skills, my love of sci-fi universes and my language proficiencies.
