I grew up in the countryside in the western part of the Netherlands, near the city of Leiden. I have always been interested in nature and during my high school years I became more and more of a freethinker. I am currently taking a year off before starting an engineering course at a university to learn something other than just academical skills for a year and to widen my perspective on the world.

I would describe myself as down-to-earth, open minded and creative. I love to share philosophies and ideas and think out of the box together with other people. I love adventure and physical exercise.

I am very passionate about our Planet Earth: it is my ultimate mission to keep (or make again) Earth a place where Nature flourishes and people have simple, meaningful lives. Lots of things I do are centered around this: I am always trying to learn new things, always thinking of ideas and designs and drawing them out, so that in the end I have enough skills and knowledge to reach my goals.

In the end, I want to use technology to achieve a sustainable Earth, but without technology becoming too dominant and taking controll over peoples lives... it must stay down-to-earth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have toured around Poland for a week in a covered wagon pulled by a horse (as seen in western movies) and one extra horse that was ridden. This was in autumn with temperatures below 0 degrees Celcius and strong winds and we camped in the covered wagon.
