Über mich
Originally born in the countryside in northern Minnesota. Raised by an engineering father and a stay at home mom. Grew up playing in the woods on a lake and a have always wanted to learn more from travel and other countries. I'm open minded, respectful, and always up for something new. I want to meet new people, have new experiences and to share what I know.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I'm on couchsurfing because it's one of the best ways to contact and hang out with local people and travellers who have the same interests. I believe local people who live in different countries know better than the tourists and will be able to show and teach me more through their local wisdom.
Interessen
After receiving my Bachelor's degree I realized that the world is huge. I studied a lot of politics and economics and am always curious how other cultures function. I love being outdoors and travelling. I grew up in a small town and love volunteering in local areas. I believe by giving to a local community, I will learn the most and meet the most people.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I usually read autobiographsies, showing people's experiences in the world. Any books about people who travel, recently books on Buddhism as well. Watching environmental documentaries is my favorite. But I'm always looking for new, different movies and books.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
For 6 summers I worked as a camp counselor and corral director at a Ymca summer camp in northern Minnesota. I taught kids how to ride horses, about environmental issues, and how to live with less than they have. I was even able to take 10 kids from France, Spain, and the US on an 8 day backpacking trip in the northern Minnesota wilderness.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I want to share my knowledge of American culture and what I've studied about the environment. I want to learn about foods, languages, and how local cultures live.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I haven't traveled much yet, but I can share my knowledge of my country and the good aspects of it. Especially the foods we eat, which isn't the super sized meal at McDonald's.
