About Me
About me’s are always hard. But I’ll try my best. My name is Bonnie and I’m currently travelling with my partner Jacob. We are both from Australia and our base is in Melbourne. We are high school sweethearts that have been together and travelled together for many years. We love to eat, nap, party, relax, and are open to adventure!
We have just finished up a 3 month tree planting camp in Northern Canada and are on our way to eastern Canada/USA before heading to South America for two months, with plans to take our time, meet some new people and learn about local life and culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
We love everything from folk, pop, rock to hip hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A three day trek through the northern Vietnam region of Sapa. We met so many amazing local people and learnt about the black muong people, way of life and food.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have my diploma in fashion design and love to sew and mend garments in my spare time. I suppose I am kinda like a young grandma, as one of my other major passions is cooking! I have also recently completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Advertising and Spanish studies. I can speak some Spanish but would love to improve with a language exchange. I also have some experience teaching English to Spanish speakers.
Jacob has studied Science for over six years now. He majored in geography but still has a terrible sense of direction. He is now studying medicine, taking one year off in the middle of his studies to decompress and explore the world some more. We are both interested in the environment and sustainability.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation, wine, jokes and food. Some Spanish or English lessons.
