My name is Jill Duffner and I am a sports and nature enthusiast! I'm athletic, down to earth, and very outgoing. I am currently studying Sport Management at Western Carolina University and one day hope to work in professional sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing so that I can travel Europe and meet new people, as well as be introduced to new cultures! I also hope to host people and show them around the most beautiful parts of North Carolina.

Interests

I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old, but am also interested in other sports (sports are a HUGE part of my life and I have a great passion for them). I have played basketball, hockey, rugby, etc. I also enjoy hiking (doing anything outdoors), themed races (AKA Color Run, Marine Mudrun, etc.), hanging out with friends, going to concerts, and all things FOOD!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to all types of music - classic rock, rock, pop (you name it, I like it). My favorite kinds of movies are comedies, especially those starring Adam Sandler (The Waterboy, Billy Madison, and many others). I like reading biographies on athletes, romance novels, and action thrillers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, the most amazing thing I have done is study abroad in Jyväskylä, Finland. (P.S. If you haven't visited Finland, I highly recommend it!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope that by joining couchsurfing, I am able to teach someone about my culture as well as share with them my favorite things about my home state and all of its beauty. I also hope that I can visit many cities and countries and learn all about other cultures and ways of life.

I can share my fun and vibrant personality, as well as hoping to be able to share the knowledge of my country and home with someone. I am very neat and organized, so I will always keep my space tidy and looked after.
