About Me

I am from Brazil and I love my country, yet I have been living in U.S. for the last year and loving it. I am kind of a free spirit and I love to travel and meet new places and different people. I think that is one of the reasons I love NYC, I get to meet a lot of people from all over the world and they broaden my perspective on how the world works. It has been a life changing experience living here, however I want to go to other places and whenever I get the chance I want to go on an adventure and find out what lays ahead. I believe that the thrill of the unknown and the excitement of discovering it are two intrinsic feelings innate of me that prevent me to just settle down and drive me to keep going forward and looking for more of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly, the chance of meeting new people. People can be fascinating and having the chance of meeting and hanging out with locals helps a lot on getting a nice perspective on the people of a specific place. In the second place, who better knows a city then its own locals? Couchsurfing you get the chance of getting a really nice insight about the city itself and cool and underground stuff to do or places to go that otherwise would not be noticed or known by tourists. Last but not least, being a student is kind of hard to scrap all the money that a travel usually demands together. Having this option surely helps on easing the expenses.

Interests

I am a Biotechnology Master's student, which gives a nice clue of my interest in science. Especially when it comes to genetics. Other than science and geek stuff, I am into books (especially fantasy and adventure), outdoor activities (such as hiking, camping, swimming) or just enjoying nature itself. Also, one of my great passion in life is traveling around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, when it comes to music I'm pretty eclectic and a like a bunch of different stuff. If I am to pick one, for the moment at least, I would say XO by Beyonce, however I like John Mayer's version better. My favorite collection of books is definitely Harry Potter and if I am to pick one the Goblet of Fire would take the prize. Movies are a hard task to rate them, so I'll stick with a classic of my childhood that I still love: the Lion King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved out to another country, made awesome friends, and grew up to live amazing days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I could teach other than my life style and my thread of thought. Maybe small stuff like doing a tsuru origami or . Sharing life experiences. Learning how to be a better myself.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
