My name is Céline, I'm currently living in Busan, South Korea after realizing during my last trip that I had to be there. I am taking Korean classes at the 언어교육원 of PNU, hopefully one day I'll actually be able to speak the language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've already traveled in Wales thanks to helpX - a website that enables you to find people to host you and in exchange you have to help them with some things (like cleaning, cooking, painting..) - and that was an amazing experience!
I am not the kind of person to go in a country just to party all day long; I like it when I actually meet and interact with people, that's why I am on this website :)

During my exchange in Ottawa, I managed to travel around Canada and the US as a couchsurfer and really enjoyed it. I hosted people as i went home. But now I am traveling again, so i can only meet-up :)

Interests

I like listening to music, walking, driving, biking, reading, hiking, visiting open places and museums, drinking tea, watching shows and movies, eating some amazing vegan food -- I am a very foodie person. I'm very much into natural products such as essential oils, henna, clay and so on. I workout several times a week and loooove it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a metal person! Or just everything that has loud music, a guitar, a bass, and people screaming ;) I enjoy hardcore as well. My favorites artists and bands are Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Nirvana, Linkin Park, the Gazette; Arch Enemy, Turnstile, Code Orange, Myrath, Arkans, Khalas, Orphaned land.
But I also like (psy)trance and hardtek (Boom Shankar, Gonzi, Symphonix, billx).
I listen to A LOT of K-pop and K-rap: Stray Kids, 3racha, got7, Blackpink, day6, BigBang, exo, zico, iKon, Jinusean, beast/highlight, cnblue, gidle, keith ape, nu'est, nct, ...

I do enjoy watching movies and series. My favorite movie is 2046 (and if you actually know this one I'll bake a cake for you). Mr. Nobody is awesome too. Others: Brooklyn, Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You, Omar, Amreeka, THG, Salt of This Sea, She's The Man --

Shows: Desperate Housewives, Breaking Bad, Malcolm, The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, Prison Break, Awkward, Game of Thrones, Transparent, How to get away with murder, Pretty Little Liars, HIMYM, Parks and Recreation, Daria, Mr Robot, Devious Maids, sense8, Scream Queens, Orphan Black, Quantico --

Korean dramas : too many to list them, but some of my favorite include Mr. Sunshine, Memories of the Alhambra, Jumong, Cain and Abel, Rain or Shine, Strong Woman DBS, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Healer, My Only Love Song (this one is absolutely crazy and funny). Anything with 박서준 ㅋㅋ

My favorite authors are Harlan Coben, Sophie Kinsella and Lisa See.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hum, I can't really think of something right now but I think that the most amazing thing I've experienced is doing helpX in Wales. I took a 27-hour bus/train ride from Lyon to Llandovery, stayed there for two weeks before heading to Carmarthen for another two weeks, where I met some amazing vegetarian lawyers and their adult children. I had a great time with them and I'll never forget them. They're my Welsh family.

Also, I managed to fly to Germany without any decent ID papers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be a manager in an organic store in France, so I know a few things about nutrition, essential oils, and so on. I'd be glad to share my knowledge :)
