About Me

Hi everyone! 🌍✨
My name is Becci, and I’m a passionate traveler who loves exploring new places not only through sights but especially through people. For me, traveling is all about connecting with locals, learning their way of life, and sharing stories along the way.
I study Social Work, which probably says a lot about my love for people, cultures, and different perspectives. Besides that, I’m a Hula Hoop dance teacher and performer – so if you’d like, I can show you some fun tricks as a little exchange!
Friends usually describe me as humorous, communicative, open-hearted and always ready for the next adventure. I enjoy laughing a lot, having deep conversations, and making genuine connections. Whether it’s wandering around a city, cooking together, or just sitting with a coffee and talking about life, I’m always up for it.
Looking forward to meeting amazing people, sharing experiences, and discovering the world the “local way.” 🌟

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe traveling is much more meaningful when you can connect with locals instead of just being a tourist. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet amazing people, experience their culture in an authentic way, and share moments that go beyond the usual travel stories.
For me, it’s not only about finding a place to stay – it’s about creating connections, exchanging ideas, and hopefully giving back a little joy, laughter, and maybe even some hula hoop tricks along the way!

Interests

I love being active and creative – dancing with my hula hoop is one of my biggest passions, both as a teacher and performer. It keeps me playful and helps me connect with people in a fun way.
I also enjoy exploring cities and nature, trying local food, and discovering hidden spots that you won’t find in a guidebook. Meeting people with different backgrounds and exchanging stories about life and culture is something that really inspires me.
When I’m not traveling, I like spending time with friends, going to festivals, camping in the nature, and diving into anything that brings good vibes and laughter. I’m also curious about psychological topics and love conversations about society, cultures, and how people live around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is a colorful mix – from German pop that makes me sing along to Psy Trance that gets me lost in the rhythm. I love switching between different vibes depending on my mood, and I’m always curious to discover new sounds from other people’s playlists. For me, music is about energy, emotion, and enjoying the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling has definitely shaped me the most. I spent one year in India, which was full of colors, challenges, and unforgettable moments. Then I lived for one and a half years in New Zealand, traveling in a van and waking up to some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen.
Another amazing journey was a more personal one: going from being a total sports avoider to becoming a hula hoop dance teacher and performer. Through that, I rediscovered myself, found confidence in new ways, and learned how much joy movement can bring.
Backpacking adventures, spontaneous trips, and the people I’ve met along the way all taught me that the best experiences are usually the ones you don’t plan. 🌍✨

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe every encounter is an exchange – we can always learn something from each other.
I can share my passion for hula hoop by teaching fun tricks (a great way to laugh and move together!). I also love exchanging travel and life stories, and bringing good energy and humor into the house.
What I’d love to learn are little local things – whether it’s your favorite recipe, a hidden spot in your city, or just how you see the world. For me, Couchsurfing is about sharing not only space, but also ideas, culture, and laughter.
