My name is Teo and I'm currently studying Law at the University of Brasilia. As a host, I tend to be very warm and welcoming, eager to get to know new cultures and lifestyles different from my own. And as a guest I try as much as possible not to take up space and overstay my welcome. I also see myself as a tidy and disciplined person.

I grew up in London but was born in Sao Paulo, so I'm used to busy cities. Brasilia, my current residence, is a small and quiet capital, so it has been difficult to adapt, but I'm getting there!

Given my past, I'm fluent in English and Portuguese, but I can also speak Spanish and a little French. Italian is also easy for me to understand. I'm a curious person, which makes me eager to learn new languages. My next challenge will be Mandarin. Btw, I'm obsessed with China.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Soon I will travel in China and Taiwan (I'm not picking sides by using different names) and I plan to use couchsurfing while I'm there.
I'm interested in getting to know how local homes are and what locals usually eat on a day to day basis. I would certainly volunteer to cook Brazilian or Western dishes to socialise, it would be a pleasure in fact. I really look forward to it.

Travelling and cooking are my passions in life and I want to pursue more of them. I must confess that my main objective when travelling is EATING not sightseeing. Of course sightseeing is incredible, but there's nothing like trying out new dishes and flavours. After all, my star sign is Taurus and we like our food!

Academically speaking, my passions are Criminal Law and International Law. In fact, I plan to specialise in those areas as I grow older.

Musically, my genres are completely random. I'm a fan of K-pop (2NE1, Big Bang, etc.), Turkish pop (Gülşen and Ebru Gundeş), Reggeaton, Brazilian funk and pop, etc. etc. etc. I also like Deng Lijun (鄧麗君) very much. But I must say that my all-time greatest idol is David Bowie, the master of glam rock.

The movies/TV-series I like have to opposites: on one hand, I like really heavy drama (like Boys Don't Cry, Happy Together, Requiem for a Dream); on the other hand, I like nerdy movies like Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. My favorite directors are George Lucas and Stanley Kubrick.
